This was an assignment I did last night for my SC ED 353 class, Multicultural Education. As you probably know by now, I wish I had more skillz with the graphic design[z] because even though I don't actually know what that comprises, I'm obsessed with it. So I practiced those skillz instead of writing a paper. The project was open to creative interpretation and creativity was a requirement, so even though it took a bit longer to do it this way, at least I didn't have to prove my creativity with creative word choice! Plus I kinda like how it turned out.
If you're wondering, turns out that it's kinda scary to try to 1) delineate real, true, core beliefs, 2) relate them to your teaching philosophies, 3) sum it all up in a limited number of words, and 4) actually turn it in. Especially in a class all about acceptance of those who share beliefs that do not line up with yours... Kinda feels like: "THIS IS MY SOUL HEREEEEE! ack."
So I thought it'd be a good idea to post it on my blog for the whole world to see as well. Might as well go the whole hog*, ya know?
Thus, here are my core beliefs.
*Is that even a thing? Anyone? Buhler?
